Villamayor, bronce y clasificación a Tokio 2020
El formoseño se quedó con el tercer puesto de la disciplina pentatlón moderno, en los Panamericanos de Lima, y además logró su plaza en los próximos Juegos Olímpicos.
El argentino Sergio Alí Villamayor ganó este domingo la medalla de bronce en los Juegos Panamericanos de Lima en la disciplina de
pentatlón moderno masculina y además obtuvo la clasificación a los Juegos Olímpicos
de Tokio 2020.
Villamayor superó al estadounidense Amro Elgeziry en el laser run y consiguió así su lugar en el podio.
El deportista formoseño había logrado el mejor rendimiento en la ronda de esgrima, comenzó el día en la posición 20 en natación (1:01:80) y en equitación se ubicó octavo.
"Por fin se me dio, fui prueba por prueba y lo conseguí. Cuando finalicé equitación sabía que lo podía lograr", dijo Villamayor a TyC Sports quien integró el equipo argentino junto con Leandro Silva y Emmanuel Zapata y debutará el próximo año en los Juegos Olímpicos.
El podio lo conformaron Charles Fernández de Guatemala y Esteban Bustos de Chile.
