Un argentino de 13 años ganó casi un millón de dólares en el mundial de Fortnite
Thiago Lapp es de Tigre y el sábado había logrado otro buen papel en la categoría dúos. El campeón fue un estadounidense que se llevó U$S3.000.000.
Thiago Lapp tiene 13 años y viajó a Nueva York con un sueño: jugar y hacer el mejor papel posible en el Mundial de Fortnite, el evento más importante del año en lo que a videojuegos se refiere. Lo que quizás no podría haber imaginado es que iba a lograr nada más ni nada menos que el quinto puesto en la categoría individual, lo que lo llevó a ganar un premio de 900 mil dólares.
El único argentino en el top ten del Mundial de Fortnite.
El chico que representó a la Argentina nació en Tigre, tiene la edad mínima necesaria para haber participado de la competencia y juega bajo el apodo de "k1nG", es decir, "Rey". En mayo se había confirmado su participación en el Mundial y en las últimas horas había utilizado sus redes sociales para transmitir su ansiedad, pero también su optimismo.

"¿Hoy y mañana se hace historia?", se había preguntado en Twitter. "En el Mundial van a ver cómo juego en serio, no como siempre", escribió un minuto después, mostrándose confiado para lo que sería su actuación del sábado y domingo.
Es que, además de haber logrado la quinta posición en forma individual, el sábado había competido en la categoría de dúos.
Jugando acompañado de otro argentino de 16 años, Tadeo Timmermann, y en representación del clan "9z", terminaron en el puesto 39, y lograron un premio de U$S100 mil.
