San Francisco se suma a la campaña nacional “Todos con Emmita”
Emmita necesita la medicación más cara del mundo. En San Francisco se puede colaborar en las urnas instaladas en los comercios
Emmita tiene ocho meses y le diagnosticaron atrofia muscular espinal (AME) tipo I, una enfermedad que le impide moverse y respirar correctamente. Se considera una enfermedad rara que afecta a 350 niños en Argentina, una medicación es la esperanza y podría revertir el cuadro de la bebé: Zolgensma, pero cuesta 2.125.000 dólares.
Sus padres Enzo Gamarra y Natalí Torterola lanzaron una campaña solidaria a nivel nacional para conseguir fondos para aplicarle el medicamento antes que cumpla dos años.
En San Francisco, la comerciante Ornella Poli se comprometió con el caso de Emma al ver a difusión en las redes sociales y replicó la campaña para ayudarla a llegar al costo de ese medicamento. Decidió destinar el 5% de lo recaudado en diciembre en su negocio Arlette Tienda de Ropa, ubicado en Córdoba 45, además colocó una urna para quienes quieran colaborar y distribuyó más de 30 en otros negocios de la ciudad.
También realiza difusión en las redes sociales en @todosconemmita y @arlettetiendaderopa recordando que también pueden colaborar directamente en las cuentas de los padres de Emmita en el banco HSBC, caja de ahorro en pesos: 08862222682, CBU: 1500047300008862222682. O a través de mercado pago [email protected].
"A partir de la difusión en las redes sociales investigué más sobre su caso y la cantidad de dinero que tienen que juntar para comprar el medicamento. Me sentí muy tocada porque mi bebé tiene la misma edad y enseguida pensé que podría haberle tocado a él, por eso quiero ayudar de alguna manera", comentó Ornella a LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO.
Agregó que en su comercio decidió "destinar el 5% de las ventas de diciembre para ayudar a Emma y también decidí colocar alcancías para los que quieran colaborar. Hicimos varias urnas que se pusieron en varios comercios. Los comerciantes que quieran colocar una urna en su negocio pueden retirarla en nuestro local ubicado en Córdoba 45, se dejarán todo el mes de enero y luego se recogerán. Todavía no tenemos números definitivos, cuando los tengamos vamos a publicar en nuestras redes".
"La gente es muy solidaria y se une a estas campañas con una amplia convocatoria, invito a todos a colaborar desde San Francisco. Lo que se pueda aportar es bienvenido porque siempre va a ayudar", dijo.
Hay más de 30 alcancías en comercios de la ciudad
Una enfermedad rara
"La enfermedad de Emma es muy rara y hace que los músculos se le vayan atrofiando. Me comuniqué con los papás de Emma, que son de Resistencia, Chaco, para pedirle autorización para la campaña. Actualmente existe la droga Spinraza que se usa para la AME y a Emma le va retrocediendo el avance de la enfermedad pero no tiene cura, se trató con esa droga, pero está con respirador, no se sienta, el movimiento es muy limitado, está atendida continuamente con profesionales y tiene sondas", contó la comerciante.
Los papás se dieron cuenta cuando tenía 4 meses que Emma no se movía como los otros bebés y pensaron que era por falta de estímulo. Consultaron al médico y cuando le hicieron la prueba le diagnosticaron AME.
"Los padres sabían de la droga Spinraza pero después de investigar más descubrieron que hay una droga nueva que se llama Zolgensma que salió en 2018 que salvaría la vida de Emma porque podría volver a ser una niña normal, jugar, caminar. El problema es que el costo de esta droga es de más de dos millones de dólares, pero en la Argentina todavía no está autorizada. La idea de los padres es recaudar todo el dinero que se pueda y cuando lo logren se presentarán a las obras sociales para ver cómo pueden seguir adelante", afirmó Ornella.
