Quieren descensos
El presidente de River Rodolfo D'Onofrio y el de Boca, Jorge Ameal, se reunieron y reafirmaron su oposición a la quita de descensos en el fútbol argentino, aludiendo que "no es una muerte descender".
Los presidentes de Boca y River, Jorge Amor Ameal y Rodolfo D'Onofrio, compartieron ayer un almuerzo y se manifestaron a favor del regreso de los "campeonatos largos y con descensos" en el fútbol argentino, al tiempo que reclamaron mayores ingresos para ambos clubes y pidieron "derrotar" al coronavirus "para que la gente pueda volver a las canchas".
"Con Jorge (Ameal) no estamos de acuerdo con que no haya descensos, eso hace que el fútbol vaya para abajo y necesitamos que vaya para arriba. Un torneo de 28 equipos es complicado y complejo", sostuvo D'Onofrio a la salida de la reunión, que se llevó a cabo en un restaurant de Puerto Madero.
Ameal, por su parte, apoyó los dichos de su par "millonario": "Queremos campeonatos largos y con descensos. Si no, tenemos que ir a un proyecto que sea superador. Queremos fútbol en serio, cuando tengamos un borrador del nuevo torneo haremos una conferencia de prensa y diremos qué es lo que pensamos".
"Boca y River son las locomotoras del fútbol, los que generan mayor expectativa. Planteamos lo que nos parece, pero hay una mayoría que piensa otra cosa. Nosotros queremos que el fútbol argentino crezca, que sea atractivo. Si la preocupación es el descenso, entonces saquemoslos y lleguemos a un torneo de 70, pero no va", continuó el mandatario del elenco de Núñez.
