Orgullo: la Escuela Municipal de Danzas Folklóricas cumple 55 años
Unos 200 bailarines conforman el actual elenco que a lo largo de su historia ha representado y llevado con excelencia el nombre de San Francisco.
La Escuela Municipal de Danzas Folklóricas de San Francisco conmemora su 55º aniversario este sábado 13 de abril. Fundada en 1969, bajo la dirección inicial de la profesora Norma Navarro de Acuña, la escuela pasó a estar dirigida por los profesores José Carballo y Cristina Escudero en marzo de 1979, quienes marcaron su trayectoria durante 45 años. Desde este ciclo lectivo, el profesor Mario Bessone ha asumido la dirección.
Actualmente, la escuela, parte del elenco estable de la Dirección de Cultura, cuenta con 200 alumnos. Estos estudiantes participan en clases semanales regulares, siguiendo una programación anual, y se dedican a transmitir el conocimiento, respeto y amor por las tradiciones argentinas a través de la danza folklórica a niños, jóvenes y adultos.
La Escuela Municipal de Danzas Folklóricas ha llevado el nombre de San Francisco con orgullo y excelencia, participando en eventos a nivel provincial, nacional e internacional. Destacan presentaciones en países como Chile, Perú, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brasil, México, Ecuador, Colombia, Italia, Polonia, Alemania, Hungría, Checoslovaquia y Yugoslavia.
