“Nunca vimos algo así”: el incendio en El Bolsón continúa fuera de control y ya arrasó 6.500 hectáreas
El fuego se desató el domingo por la tarde en la zona de Cuesta del Ternero, en Río Negro. La prioridad de los especialistas es preservar la vida de los más de 100 trabajadores que luchan contra las llamas y proteger las viviendas. Los expertos aseguran que está fuera de control.
Unas 6.500 hectáreas de bosque fueron arrasadas por un feroz incendio en la zona de Cuesta del Ternero, cerca de El Bolsón, desde hace ya más de 24 horas. El fuego se desató el domingo en horas de la tarde por motivos que todavía no fueron aclarados y, según los especialistas, nunca se había visto un infierno de tal magnitud en esa zona. Hasta el momento, se registró un herido, siete personas tuvieron que ser evacuadas y no se registraron destrozos en viviendas de la zona.
"Debido a la sequedad del combustible vegetal de la zona en las últimas semanas, sumado a los fuertes vientos, hicieron que la situación se descontrolara como nunca habíamos visto", afirmó el Jefe del Área Técnica del Servicio de Prevención y Lucha contra los Incendios Forestales, Julio Cardenas a AM 1050.
"El fuego está fuera de control", aseguró.
El especialista advirtió que en la zona del fuego trabajan por el momento unas 105 personas y que aún se está lejos de poder controlar las llamas. El objetivo que se trazaron desde el área técnica es preservar la vida de quienes combaten el incendio y proteger las casas de la zona.
