No es un clásico más
Esta noche desde las 21.30, la Argentina y Brasil se medirán en las semifinales de la Copa América, sabiendo que está en juego el boleto al partido decisivo. LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO y AM 1050 palpitan esta gran previa.
El seleccionado argentino protagonizará esta noche una nueva edición del clásico sudamericano frente a su par de Brasil, anfitrión de la Copa América, en busca de la clasificación a una nueva final del torneo.
Esta histórica semifinal se disputará desde las 21.30 en el estadio "Mineirao" de Belo Horizonte, con arbitraje del ecuatoriano Roddy Zambrano. El ganador se asegurará un lugar en la definición que se disputará el domingo 7 de julio en el Maracaná de Río de Janeiro ante Chile o Perú, que jugarán el miércoles en Porto Alegre.
A diferencia de los partidos de cuartos de final, ahora en caso de empate en el tiempo reglamentario, habrá dos tiempos de quince minutos y de persistir la igualdad se definirá el ganador con tiros desde el punto penal.
Estos dos conjuntos se vuelven a ver la cara en este tipo de torneos luego de 12 años, siendo el último antecedente el de la final de la Copa América de Venezuela en 2007, donde vencieron los brasileros.
Si hacía falta algún condimento más para este encuentro, es el escenario. Es que en Belo Horizonte, se recuerda a goleada sufrida por Brasil a manos de Alemania 7-1 en el Mundial 2014 y si a Argentina llega a eliminar a la "Canarinha" sería un golpe demasiado grande para los locales.
Esta será la primera vez en la historia que Argentina y Brasil se enfrentarán en una semifinal de Copa América, el trofeo que la "albiceleste" pretende conquistar por 15ta vez, luego de 26 años.
Lo que une a estos dos conjuntos en el presente es que ninguno viene con un andar arrollador. La Argentina alcanzó esta semifinal tras dejar en el camino a Venezuela en los cuartos de final, a partir de un triunfo 2-0 en Río de Janeiro y en la primera fase no dejó grandes rendimientos.
El camino de Brasil tampoco fue apabullante. Si bien goleó a Perú en la fase inicial, no le pudo ganar a Venezuela, le costó vencer a Bolivia y en los cuartos igualó ante Paraguay, clasificando por penales.
Por sus números en el torneo, el peso de la localía y tiempo de trabajo, Brasil podría imponerse como el candidato pero Argentina se lo pelea con la presencia de Lionel Messi, considerado por los propios jugadores brasileños como el "mejor jugador de la historia".
