Mendoza: secuestran casi 20 toneladas de ácido clorhídrico

Un camión que transportaba casi 20 toneladas de ácido clorhídrico, un precursor químico que se utiliza para fabricar cocaína, fue secuestrado en las últimas horas en la provincia de Mendoza.
Según informaron fuentes oficiales, efectivos de Gendarmería Nacional realizaban controles sobre la ruta para la prevención del delito complejo cuando interceptaron un camión que iba hacia Chile y al inspeccionarlo, constataron que el conductor trasladaba una gran cantidad de barriles con ácido clorhídrico.
Inmediatamente, se puso en práctica el protocolo de actuación y tras la requisa del rodado se determinó que había 19.886 kilos del precursor químico que puede ser utilizado para la elaboración de estupefacientes.
Luego, los gendarmes indagaron al conductor del vehículo y verificaron que no contaba con la habilitación del Registro Nacional de Precursores Químicos (RENPRE), por lo que por orden del Juzgado interviniente, los efectivos decomisaron el material y el camión, y secuestraron documentación de interés para la causa.
El ácido clorhídrico es esencial en la producción de cocaína, y el mismo sirve para darle forma al estupefaciente en la última etapa del proceso.
Según se informó, para la fabricación de 100 kilos de la droga se utilizan entre 20 y 40 litros del precursor químico.
