Más bicicletas salen a la calle con cobertura contra robos
Cada vez más sanfrancisqueños contratan pólizas de seguro para sus bicicletas y así, buscan que sea la compañía quien responda en caso de ser asaltados. Las compañías coinciden en que creció la demanda, un panorama muy distinto al de 2019 cuando se aseguraban 10 bicis en todo el año, en el mejor de los casos.
Ante los reiterados robos, cada vez son más los sanfrancisqueños que aseguran sus bicicletas. Las restricciones establecidas por la pandemia generaron un aumento en el uso de bicicletas tanto como medio de transporte como para practicar ciclismo, uno de los primeros deportes habilitados después de la cuarentena.
Los costos también aumentaron. Actualmente una bicicleta rodado 29 tiene un precio que va desde los $50.000 a $100.000 y más, dependiendo del tipo de vehículo y el material que lo compone. Pasó de ser un bien con un valor mediano y más accesible a un bien con un costo importante.
Distintas compañías de seguros coincidieron en afirmar a LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO que la contratación de pólizas se incrementaron y también las consultas para realizarlas que un 85% se terminan concretando. El costo de los seguros es de $150 en adelante y varía de acuerdo al valor de la bicicleta y de la cobertura que se elija.
El asalto a los
ciclistas o robo de bicicletas es una problemática creciente y se estima que,
en promedio, se roban en San Francisco se roban unas 10 bicicletas por semana,
aunque existe una gran "cifra negra". Hay muchos más casos que no se
denuncian. El dato preocupa a quienes por deporte, esparcimiento o como medio de
transporte salen a pedalear.
La licenciada en Seguros, Romina Scotta, de Scotta & Asociados-Asesoramiento y Gestión de Seguros a través de La Segunda, afirmó que el año pasado aseguraron dos bicicletas, mientras que este año, más de 70.
"La gente sale mucho en la bici y lamentablemente se la roban, por eso es importante el seguro. Creció muchísimo la demanda de seguros para este tipo de vehículos, también se aseguran las bicicletas que se utilizan para delivery", afirmó.
Explicó que hay varios tipos de cobertura: "Por robo de la bicicleta, el robo más la responsabilidad civil o sea el daño que se puede producir contra terceros, a esa cobertura se le puede agregar la de accidentes personales que protege en caso de accidentes o lesiones personales ocurridas con la bicicleta, como por ejemplo una fractura en una caída por pisar una piedra".
"La cobertura más completa es el robo total, destrucción total por accidente que incluye también incendio o responsabilidad civil -añadió Scotta-. El costo va desde los $150 pesos en adelante y cambia según el valor de la bicicleta y el plan. Según el caso, puede ser de entre $600 y $1.000".
La manera de elaborar el pago del siniestro del robo siempre es con presupuesto en mano del valor de la bicicleta. "Si la bicicleta es modelo 2021, no hay problema porque cuesta $50.000, se cuenta con una factura y se paga ese monto, pero si la bicicleta se compró años anteriores, el precio cambia, quizá se pagó $20.000 pero hoy no cuesta más eso, sino mucho más. Entonces, para poder hacer un seguro que permita reponerla, lo que se necesita es un presupuesto actualizado. Sobre ese presupuesto es donde empezamos a hacer la cotización", finalizó.
Por su parte, desde Uruguay Seguros, el productor Juan Pablo Lozano afirmó que este año ya tienen más de 50 bicicletas aseguradas, mientras que en 2019 tenían entre 5 y 10.
"Las consultas y los seguros se incrementaron mucho. La cobertura que más se busca es por robo, porque es muy frecuente la sustracción dentro de las casas como en la vía pública quitándoselas a sus propietarios", dijo.
Lozano afirmó que el precio del seguro está sujeto al valor de la bicicleta, "el costo promedio es de $600. Notamos que en los últimos meses aumentó el uso de la bicicleta, después de la cuarentena el ciclismo fue uno de los deportes que se habilitó rápidamente y mucha gente salió a practicarlo y eso llevó a que aumenten los seguros. La bicicleta pasó a ser un bien con un valor importante".
El robo, la causa principal
"En San Francisco siempre existió un robo excesivo de bicicletas", aseguró el ex ciclista y propietario de Bachi Bike Center, Ángel "Bachi" Serrano.
Afirmó que las bicicletas robadas "van hacia otras ciudades ya sea en partes o completas. Hay zonas donde se producen más delitos que en otras, más cerca del este hay más robos. Ante la gran cantidad de robos la gente decide asegurar las bicis, ya que el precio básico parte de $50.000 en adelante".
Por otro lado dijo que durante la pandemia aumentó la demanda de bicicletas, pero actualmente se frenaron por el importante incremento que tuvo el precio. "Se vendieron muchas bicicletas hasta octubre en que los precios eran más accesibles se vendieron muchas bicicletas, 10 o 12 por día, pero luego aumentaron el 200%, -una gran escalada de precios que tuvo varios componentes como el aumento de las partes, fletes y costos del dólar- y se frenaron las ventas", analizó.
Informó que en 2019 se vendieron 600.000 bicicletas en el país y en 2020 desde enero hasta septiembre 1.800.000.
