El entrenador de Denver Nuggets, Michael Malone, contó que el argentino Facundo Campazzo no entró en la derrota de anoche ante Dallas Mavericks por 117 a 124 como visitante, y en tiempo suplementario, porque su rival apostó por los "grandes" de estatura en una nueva jornada de la NBA.
"Facundo Campazzo no entró porque ellos jugaron con altos, por lo que nosotros también lo hicimos", aseguró el entrenador en el contacto con la prensa.
La ausencia del armador cordobés, luego de sus dos mejores partidos desde su llegada a la NBA, sorprendió y despertó críticas en las redes sociales, principalmente de los fanáticos argentinos que se quedaron hasta la medianoche para ver el partido que terminó pasadas las 2 de la mañana.
El esloveno Luka Doncic firmó una gran actuación para Dallas con 38 puntos, 9 rebotes, 13 asistencias y 4 robos, si bien volvió a acumular hasta 8 pérdidas. Más allá de sus totales, fue de vital importancia que lograse 9 de sus puntos en el tiempo extra, sobre todo porque al mismo llegaron después de saborear la victoria.

De esta manera, Campazzo, de 1.79 de altura pero con una enorme capacidad defensiva, aguardará por el partido de este sábado frente a Philadelphia Sixers, desde las 17, hora de la Argentina.
