La Justicia española reconoce a otro hijo de Julio Iglesias
La decisión es a favor de Javier Sánchez Santos, quien junto con su madre tiene una disputa legal con el artista desde hace 30 años. Entre los elementos clave, la negación de hacer una prueba de ADN.
Un tribunal español anunció hoy que Julio
Iglesias es el padre biológico de un español de 43 años cuya madre afirma haber
tenido una relación con el cantante mundialmente conocido en la década de 1970.
"Un juez estima la demanda de un valenciano de 43 años y declara que Julio Iglesias es su padre biológico", indicó en su cuenta de Twitter el tribunal de Valencia (este), precisando que este fallo puede ser recurrido en una instancia de apelación.
La decisión es una victoria para Javier Sánchez Santos, nacido en abril de 1976, quien no tuvo éxito con una primera demanda de paternidad que había sido desestimada en 1999 por el Tribunal Supremo español.
En su fallo, el tribunal de Valencia declara que el padre de Sánchez Santos no es quien "figura como tal en la inscripción de nacimiento", sino "el demandado, con todos los pronunciamientos legales inherentes a ello".
Ante el tribunal de Valencia durante el juicio a puerta cerrada, su madre, la ex bailarina portuguesa Maria Edite, aseguró haber tenido una relación de una semana con Julio Iglesias en julio de 1975 en Cataluña, nueve meses antes de que naciera su hijo, según el abogado de la familia, Fernando Osuna.
Considerado el artista en lengua española con más discos vendidos en todo el mundo, unos 300 millones según el libro Guinness de los récords, Julio Iglesias, de 75 años, se negó a someterse a un test de ADN y no se presentó ante el juzgado.
El abogado de Julio Iglesias, Fernando Falomir, sostuvo que el caso había sido ya desestimado anteriormente.
Polémica prueba de ADN
Pero el representante de Javier Sánchez siempre dijo que un nuevo juicio estaba justificado a la luz de una prueba de ADN recogida por un detective en Estados Unidos.
Según su relato, este detective consiguió acercarse en Miami al hijo del cantante, Julio Iglesias Jr, que "estaba haciendo surf en una playa" y recoger "una botella de agua, servilletas de papel, chicles" de las que tomaron muestras de ADN.
Según él, el resultado de la prueba genética demostraba que eran hermanos. De todas maneras, el tribunal excluyó esta prueba de su análisis, estimando que no tenía "valor jurídico".
Pero en definitiva dio la razón a Sánchez teniendo en cuenta la negativa del artista a realizarse una prueba de ADN, los detalles aportados por la madre -que hacen que "no sea inverosímil ni descabellada la posibilidad" de que tuviera la relación con Iglesias- y "el evidentísimo parecido físico" entre ambos hombres, según la sentencia.
El cantante melódico, conocido por temas como "La vida sigue igual", "Me va, me va" o "Soy un truhán, soy un señor", se ha casado en dos ocasiones.
Con su primera esposa, la española de origen filipino Isabel Preysler, tuvo tres hijos, y con la segunda y actual pareja, la holandesa Miranda Rijnsburger, otros cinco.
Él mismo se presenta a menudo como un casanova impenitente con "una obsesión por el sexo".
"¡No me preguntes cuántos hermanos tengo porque no lo sé ni yo!", bromeó su hijo Julio Iglesias Jr. en una entrevista en televisión en 2018.
