Imputan a dos médicos por amputar la pierna sana a una mujer
Ambos profesionales del Nuevo Sanatorio Berazategui fueron acusados por "lesiones culposas". La mujer tiene 66 años y sufre diabetes. Su hija notó el error cuando la vio después de la cirugía.
El traumatólogo, identificado como Gonzalo Cardozo, y el cirujano cardiovascular, Rafael Mariano Rico, del Nuevo Sanatorio Berazategui que atendieron y amputaron a una mujer diabética de 66 años su pierna sana, fueron imputado por "lesiones culposas", señaló hoy la fiscal Karina Santolín, informó Cadena 3.
En tanto, el PAMI decidió "suspender de manera preventiva" todas las cirugías traumatológicas programadas de afiliados en el mismo sanatorio. El organismo aseguró además que "desde un primer momento tomó contacto con las hijas y se puso a disposición".

Cabe recordar que el hecho se produjo este miércoles cuando la paciente debía someterse a una intervención programada en la que le amputarían gran parte de la pierna: tras haber perdido su pie en una operación de ese estilo que no surtió el efecto médico deseado, los profesionales le indicaron que el procedimiento debía extenderse hasta la rodilla.

La jubilada acató lo indicado por sus médicos y se sometió a la operación, pero al despertar en la habitación de la clínica privada se dio cuenta del gravísimo error: el cirujano a cargo del procedimiento quirúrgico había amputado la pierna equivocada, que estaba en buenas condiciones.
