Francia: Hallaron restos de un niño que fue enterrado junto con su perro
Según las investigaciones, el niño vivió en un asentamiento galo del Imperio Romano y murió durante la época de Augusto y Tiberio.
Se trata de un hallazgo inédito para la región. Según los especialistas del Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Arqueológicas Preventivas, que vienen excavando en la zona desde noviembre de 2020, la familia del niño tenía una posición privilegiada en su comunidad.
Alrededor del féretro fueron ubicados recipientes de terracota que, en el momento del entierro, contenían alimentos y bebidas. Además, había restos de medio cerdo, tres patas de jamón y dos gallinas a las que les faltaba la cabeza.
Según las investigaciones, el niño vivió en un asentamiento galo del Imperio Romano y murió durante la época de Augusto y Tiberio.
"El mobiliario que acompaña al fallecido es bastante excepcional, tanto en cantidad como en calidad", señalaron en el sitio oficial de Inrap. Y agregaron que ellas "subrayan el rango privilegiado al que pertenecía su familia".
Respecto a la asociación del perro con un niño pequeño, dijeron que "ya está bien atestiguada en un contexto funerario, pero es aquí su collar y su campana los que aparecen inéditos".
