El Hospital Iturraspe celebró el primer día sin pacientes covid leves internados
¡Vamos que se puede! La imagen de un pizarrón en blanco simboliza la buena noticia. "Esta foto significa muchísimo: horas de arduo trabajo y compromiso, de entrega, de angustia profunda en cada pérdida y celebración inexplicable en cada alta médica", expresó una enfermera. Por su parte, Vicente dijo que esto permitirá rearmar la Terapia Polivalente.
El coronavirus dejó muchas historias de muerte, tristeza y desazón. Pero también de superación y lucha.
En una pandemia que sigue pegando duro al mundo, el personal de salud fue el primero que puso el pecho y estuvo en la primera línea de batalla. Si bien bajan los contagios y se acelera la campaña de vacunación, las buenas noticias son motivo de celebración.
Eso ocurrió en el Hospital "J. B. Iturraspe" donde se celebró que, tras un año y medio de pandemia, por primera vez este jueves 29 de julio no hubo ninguna cama ocupada en el área Covid 1, donde se encuentran los pacientes con síntomas leves.
Esto fue tomado como un signo de mucha esperanza por parte del personal sanitario que graficó su alegría a través de la imagen de un pizarrón en blanco, cuando "llegamos a tenerlo lleno".
Esta situación permitirá rearmar la Terapia Polivalente que ocupará el espacio que hasta ahora destinaron a las personas internadas con coronavirus en ese sector del centro de salud.
El director del Hospital, Valentín Vicente, explicó a LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO que "el sector Covid 1 se mantuvo con pacientes desde que comenzamos a tener casos en pandemia y nunca se había quedado sin pacientes".
Cabe recordar que en el momento más duro de la segunda ola de la pandemia, en abril del corriente año, ese sector permanecía totalmente ocupado, lo que inclusive motivó un reclamo realizado por los jefes de servicio que alertaban por la situación límite por la que estaba atravesando el nosocomio público.
"Inclusive en el momento más difícil de la pandemia íbamos trabajando en conjunto con la UTI polivalente que en ese momento era Covid y allí había camas disponibles", agregó Vicente
Si bien en este momento hay 10 pacientes Covid ocupando camas en la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva del Hospital Iturraspe, el panorama sanitario permitió desalojar el sector de Covid 1 "porque la merma en la cantidad de pacientes ha sido muy importante".
Como consecuencia de la recuperación de este espacio, el médico señaló que a partir de ahora "se van a realizar obras de infraestructura para poner la Terapia Polivalente en ese sector donde funcionará de manera temporal".
Actualmente, hay 15 pacientes Covid en el Hospital de los cuales 5 permanecen en sala común y los 10 restantes permanecen en la UTI Polivalente que ha sido reasignada como UTI Covid.
"Estamos muy satisfechos porque el área Covid 1 está sin pacientes en este momento y eso permitirá realizar modificaciones que permitirá separar a pacientes Covid de aquellos no Covid", concluyó Vicente.
Por su parte, una enfermera del Hospital utilizó las redes para hacer un emotivo posteo junto a la fotografía del pizarrón vacío para destacar este día: "Esta foto significa muchísimo. Es la pizarra de mi servicio de trabajo, el famoso Covid 1, área que se preparó exclusivamente para reforzar la atención crítica del paciente Covid (+) y llegamos a tenerlo lleno, muchos pero muchos días. Si bien queda mucho por hacer aún, ya que nuestra Sala UTI sigue asistiendo a pacientes críticos covid, el número es mucho menor, los casos e internaciones bajaron notablemente".
"Esta es la extensión para asistencia de casos críticos y sus 20 camas, vacías por primera vez ¡Inimaginable! Dicen que viene otra ola, ya ni se cuál de tantas, pero me quedo hoy con esta imagen, que representa muchísimas horas de arduo trabajo y compromiso, de responsabilidad y entrega. Angustia profunda en cada pérdida y celebración inexplicable en cada alta médica. Pases de guardia terrible como un torbellino de información, medicación, novedades, intervenciones, etc., con una memoria de elefante pasándolo de guardia a guardia", siguió.
"En esta foto hay mucho cansancio, sacrificio, miles de lágrimas y las más genuinas sonrisas y abrazos sinceros. (...) Seguiremos acá, firmes dando batalla", finalizó.
