Día Mundial de la Voz: realizarán pruebas de laringoscopia en el Hospital Iturraspe
El centro de salud lanzó una campaña y el próximo martes, de 8 a 10, quienes deseen acudir podrán hacerlo en el Servicio de Otorrinolaringología.
Cada 16 de abril se conmemora el Día Mundial de la Voz, establecido por la Federación de Sociedades de Otorrinolaringología con el propósito de resaltar la relevancia de la voz y promover medidas para prevenir problemas vocales como la afonía y la disfonía.
Para celebrar esta fecha, se insta a hacer un uso responsable de la voz y se invita a quienes sospechen de alguna alteración vocal a someterse a un examen laríngeo el próximo martes 16 de abril en el Servicio de Otorrinolaringología del Hospital “J.B. Iturraspe” de San Francisco, de 8 a 10.
El origen de esta jornada se remonta a 1999, cuando el Doctor Nedio Steffen de Brasil inició campañas para promover la atención primaria de la salud vocal. Su trabajo condujo a la creación del Día Mundial de la Voz en 2003, con el lema "Resonar, educar, ¡celebrar!".
La voz es esencial para la comunicación humana, pero en el mundo actual, muchas personas sufren trastornos vocales, especialmente fumadores y aquellos cuya profesión depende de su voz. Por ello, es fundamental visitar al otorrinolaringólogo para prevenir posibles daños en las cuerdas vocales.
La afonía, pérdida de la voz, puede manifestarse gradual o repentinamente, mientras que la disfonía, causada por un uso incorrecto de la voz, puede generar inflamación o lesiones en las cuerdas vocales.
Es vital estar atentos a señales como dolor de garganta persistente, ardor o esfuerzo al hablar, y buscar atención médica si es necesario, para evitar complicaciones.
Para cuidar la voz diariamente, es importante evitar hablar en entornos ruidosos, moderar el consumo de cafeína y alcohol, no fumar, controlar la alimentación para prevenir el reflujo y la acidez, y descansar adecuadamente.
Además, es recomendable hablar pausadamente, mantener una buena respiración y evitar hablar mientras se realizan actividades que puedan forzar la voz.
Cuidar nuestra voz es fundamental para mantener una comunicación efectiva y preservar nuestra salud vocal a largo plazo.
