De la mano de dos estudiantes, el voto electrónico llegó a una escuela de Porteña
Alumnos de la Escuela Proa diseñaron un simulador de votaciones electrónico a través de un programa que aprendieron a usar en la secundaria y lo aplicaron en las elecciones cooperativas de su escuela primaria. El desafío para 2019 será crear la máquina de votaciones.

El ingenio y la creatividad de dos estudiantes de la Escuela Proa, sede Porteña, permitieron a una cooperativa escolar aplicar el voto electrónico en las últimas elecciones, para renovar sus autoridades.
Julio Arrieta y Ariel Ladner, alumnos de primer año del centro escolar, diseñaron un programa de simulación para elecciones electrónicas que presentaron a las autoridades de la escuela primaria "9 de Julio", teniendo en cuenta que fueron ex alumnos y conociendo que se aproximaban las elecciones de la cooperativa escolar "El Colibrí".
El proyecto fue recibido con gran estima y el último viernes los alumnos de la institución concretaron sus primeras elecciones con voto electrónico.
Se trata de un simulador creado mediante Scratch, una plataforma con un lenguaje de programación que los jóvenes aprendieron a utilizar este año en la asignatura entornos digitales, dictada por la docente Erika González.
El programa contó con cuatro pasos sencillos que permitieron a los votantes elegir una de las cuatro listas que se presentaron en las elecciones. Finalizado el acto electoral, obtuvieron los resultados al instante y de manera automática.

"Mediante la asignatura Ciudadanía y Participación estuvimos estudiando sobre democracia y sistema de votación, donde vimos que en nuestro país todavía se conserva el sistema tradicional (con voto papel), siendo que en otro países ya se utiliza el voto electrónico. Como sabíamos que la cooperativa de la escuela primaria estaba en época de elecciones, y conociendo ya el uso del programador, se me ocurrió diseñar este simulador", comentó Julio Arrieta a LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO.
"Allí busqué a mi compañero (Ariel) para que me ayude y así fuimos avanzando hasta lograr lo que queríamos", agregó.
Asimismo manifestó que "previamente mantuvimos entrevistas con las docentes de la escuela primaria, quienes nos brindaron los datos necesarios para diseñar el programa, tales como cantidad de votantes, listas, y a su vez el conteo de votos blancos y votos nulos".
El joven estudiante recordó además que "recibimos la colaboración de la profe de matemática (Marysol Galoppo) para el cálculo de los porcentajes y de la de Entornos Digitales para perfeccionar el mismo".
Así fue como los chicos llevaron la idea a las docentes de la escuela primaria, quienes quedaron maravilladas con la misma y no dudaron en aplicarlo. Previamente, los autores del proyecto capacitaron a los alumnos de toda la institución para poder llevar adelante la elección de manera digitalizada.Un sistema que permite ahorrar tiempo y dinero
Tanto Arrieta como Ladner formaron parte de la cooperativa escolar, en su paso por la primaria, por lo que conocen los pormenores de cada acto de sufragio.
"Veíamos que se gastaba mucho dinero en papel cada vez que se llevaban adelante las elecciones de la cooperativa, por lo que este sistema digital le permitirá a la institución un ahorro importante del gasto, así como también agilidad en la obtención de datos y rapidez en la votación", destacó el alumno Ariel Ladner.
Asimismo rescató el trabajo conjunto siendo que "a Julio (Arrieta) le gusta mucho la parte de lengua y gráficos, interactúa con el usuario, siendo que yo programo con la lógica, los códigos, por lo que somos un buen complemento".
En otro orden, el joven precisó que el diseño del simulador les demandó de unos cinco días ya que "desde principios de años estuvimos aprendiendo a manejarlo, por lo que teníamos mucha práctica".
Finalmente, Ladner dijo que "el programa se puede ir mejorando año a año y adaptando al tipo de elecciones que se quiera realizar".

Hacia la máquina de votaciones
La coordinadora de la sede Proa en Porteña, María Elida Raftaso destacó el trabajo, esfuerzo y dedicación que pusieron los estudiantes en esta iniciativa que surgió de ellos mismos y anticipó que para el año que vienen buscarían crear una máquina de votaciones. "Todo salió muy bien y los chicos contagiaron su entusiasmo a otros alumnos que se sumarían el año que viene para trabajar en un nuevo proyecto, diseñar la máquina de votaciones", sostuvo.
Al respecto expresó: "Nos llena de satisfacción que los chicos puedan llevar adelante este tipo de ideas, que nace de ellos mismos, ya que no se pidió desde ningún espacio curricular, sino de la necesidad que ellos vieron tenía la escuela donde concretaron sus estudios de nivel primario".
Además destacó que "ninguno de los dos chicos tiene computadora en su casa por lo que se quedaban fuera de hora en la escuela para armar este simulador".
