Covid: el 70% de los contagios en Córdoba ya corresponden a la variante Ómicron
La nueva mutación no se registraba hasta el 12 de diciembre en esta provincia. Desde entonces, creció notoriamente y le quitó el predominio a la Delta.
El 70% de los casos registrados en la provincia de Córdoba en la última semana corresponden a la variante Ómicron, según datos preliminares que ya manejan en el Ministerio de Salud provincial.
Hace algo más de una semana, Delta era el 65% de los casos y Ómicron, el 33%.
Pero hace tres semanas Ómicron no aparecía en ningún registro. Esta nueva variante fue detectada en Córdoba entre el 12 y el 13 de diciembre.
La Provincia actualiza cada semana el seguimiento de las variantes predominantes del virus, mediante un monitoreo de secuenciación genómica que realizan el Instituto de Virologia de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba y el Laboratorio Central del Ministerio de Salud.
El dato del 70% ya de presencia de Ómicron fue confirmado por la secretaria de Prevención y Promoción de la Salud de la Provincia, Gabriela Barbás, en declaraciones a Radio Universidad.
