Atalanta avanzó a cuartos en la Copa Italia
Atalanta, con los argentinos Crisitian Romero y José Luis Palomino, le ganó como local este jueves a Cagliari por 3 a 1 y se clasificó para los cuartos de final de la Copa Italia de fútbol.
El partido se jugó en el "Gewiss Stadium", en la ciudad de Bérgamo, y los tantos de Atalanta fueron marcados por el ruso Aleksey Miranchuk (43m. PT), el colombiano Fernando Muriel (16m. ST) y el croata Bosko Sutalo (19m. ST); mientras que el italiano Riccardo Sottil (10m. ST) había igualado transitoriamente para Cagliari.
En Atalanta, Romero jugó todo el cotejo y su compatriota José Luis Palomino ingresó a los 44 minutos del segundo período por el colombiano Muriel; al tiempo que en Cagliari fueron sustitutos y no entraron los argentinos Giovanni Simeone e Isaías Delpupo, un joven de apenas 17 años, quien es de las inferiores del conjunto de Cerdeña y nunca actuó en nuestro país.
Atalanta se medirá en los cuartos de final ante vencedor del cruce entre Lazio y Parma.
Más temprano, Spal, equipo de la Serie B y donde el argentino Lucas Castro estuvo en el banco de suplentes, derrotó de visita 2 a 0 a Sassuolo, de la Serie A, y accedió a los cuartos de final del torneo.
Los italianos Simone Missiroli (4m. ST) y Lorenzo Dickmann (13m. ST) señalaron los goles de Spal, que en los cuartos de final jugará contra Juventus, que eliminó a Genoa al ganarle por 3 a 2.
El último campeón de la Copa Italia fue Napoli, mientras que la final del presente certamen se desarrollará el 19 de mayo venidero, en el estadio Olímpico de Roma.
