Productores descreen de la efectividad de la suspensión de las exportaciones de maíz
Las primeras reacciones sobre la medida son de malestar e incertidumbre que provocan este tipo de medidas de intervención en los mercados. Recuerdan que cuando se pusieron en marcha durante el kirchnerismo derivaron en serias complicaciones no solamente para el sector sino también al país.
La decisión del Gobierno nacional de suspender las exportaciones de maíz fue tomada por el sector agropecuario como una medida que será "poco efectiva" que no tendrá gran impacto entre los productores y que solo beneficiará a la cadena industrial.
"La aguja no se va a mover tanto" sostienen los productores en un contexto económico y productivo que ya no sorprende al sector que, sin embargo, descarta que esto pueda producir graves daños colaterales.
El presidente de la Comisión Interprovincial para la Seguridad Rural y productor agropecuario, Juan Grangetto, se mostró escéptico en cuanto al resultado de esta medida con la cual "el gobierno busca disminuir el precio del maíz para beneficiar otras producciones como el caso del cerdo, avícola o el sector lechero".
No obstante, dijo que este objetivo puede ser válido, pero "se equivocaron con la metodología" ya que "si el país necesita incorporar dólares lo tiene que hacer por medio de la exportación".
Una de las alternativas para llegar a este objetivo, según indicó se puede lograr "reduciendo el consumo de carnes" y suplir esa costumbre "con el consumo de otros productos" como el caso de diferentes vegetales o bien el pescado que "se lo encuentra en gran cantidad en nuestras costas".

En otro momento Grangetto sostuvo que esta política "no es nueva" al tiempo que se mostró escéptico en torno al resultado que se pueda lograr en torno a su aplicación.
"Esto ya se hizo y el resultado fue negativo" aseguró el productor quien además agregó que "los sectores que se proveen de ese cereal van a tener una disminución en el precio, pero esa no es la solución para el país".
Contrariamente a lo realizado en torno del maíz en particular y la política agropecuaria en particular, el entrevistado se mostró convencido en que "desde el gobierno se tiene que apoyar a la producción de manera de permitir que el sector pueda invertir en mayor tecnología y de esa manera se logre sembrar una mayor superficie con ese cereal".
Más adelante remarcó que el productor agropecuario "está siempre dispuesto" a invertir en tecnología porque está convencido que con una mayor producción "podríamos abastecer el mercado interno y para exportar sin tener que cortar la cadena de comercialización".
"Creo que el gobierno le está errando al mecanismo porque toda traba que hoy le pongan al campo terminarán perjudicando a la economía. El agropecuario es el sector que más va a aportar para sacar a la Argentina adelante y con esto sin dudas que va a impactar negativamente en los resultados de la economía", comentó.
Con estas condiciones en la comercialización, estimó que puedan producirse faltantes de stock porque "el productor va a tratar de retenerlo al máximo posible, utilizando lo necesario para el consumo interno" causando de esta manera "un panorama similar" a lo ocurrido con la soja.
"Con el aumento de las retenciones el productor no vendía y solo se desprendía de lo necesario para cubrirse de los altísimos costos de siembra mientras que los márgenes son muy estrechos", explicó Grangetto, quien además recordó que el sector termina de salir de "una sequía tremenda" con "un trigo completamente negativo" y los maíces de primera tienen un estado "tremendamente deficiente".
Todo este panorama, con la combinación de factores descripta por Grangetto derivará en "una merma altísima" en la producción de maíz potenciada por la misma sequía.
Si bien esta medida estuvo destinada a "planchar" el precio de los productos en góndola, el entrevistado dudó de la efectividad de la misma en virtud de que "para eso hay otras alternativas" como la sustitución de productos que deriven en la baja del precio de aquellos que reducen su demanda.
