Las vacaciones de una mujer con discapacidad fueron un suplicio por falta de accesibilidad
Andrea Cabrera es de Freyre y tiene Esclerosis Múltiple, pretendía descansar, pero se encontró con muchas barreras que complicaron su derecho a disfrutar.
Una mujer hizo público un descargo con el título "Derecho a disfrutar el verano" para contar cómo en una localidad turística faltaban accesos y facilidades para que las personas con discapacidad puedan hacer actividades como cualquier otro.
Andrea Cabrera, tiene 45 años y a los 20 le diagnosticaron con Esclerosis Múltiple y hace 25 años que convive con ese diagnóstico. A causa del avance en la actualidad se moviliza en silla de ruedas o andador. después de 25 años de ese diagnóstico, hace un tiempo que utilizo para movilizarme silla de ruedas y/o andador.
Su experiencia - mala - comenzó la semana pasada cuando viajó a Potrero de Garay para descansar y después de eso dijo: "Lo que pretendía ser un momento de tranquilidad y disfrute, terminó siendo un suplicio para mí y mi familia".
Según relató "el viaje en sí fue muy complicado" ya que no encontraban estaciones de servicio que tuvieran baños para personas con discapacidad e idéntica situación en la mayoría de locales gastronómicos.
"Fuimos a varios lugares de conocida 'fama' en San Clemente, Potrero de Garay, Villa Ciudad de América y Los Reartes; en ninguno de ellos había baño para discapacitados, ni siquiera puertas anchas para que pase con el andador. Ni hablar de la existencia de una rampa", relató.
A eso se sumó que "no había bajadas accesibles para poder "mojar los pies en algún río serrano" y así volvió a su casa en Freyre "sin poder tocar el agua" y "frustrada por no poder aprovechar esos momentos con su familia debiendo mirar desde lejos".
"Me pregunto, con mucho dolor, en esta Argentina donde todos reclaman por sus derechos (a abortar, a la igualdad de género, a la asignación universal por hijos, entre tantos otros), nosotros, los que no podemos caminar, ¿no tenemos derecho a disfrutar de unas vacaciones?", escribió aduciendo que lo que le pasó "solo es una muestra de lo que le falta a la sociedad: trabajar por la inclusión de personas con cualquier tipo de discapacidad" y que así no se vulneren sus derechos.
